Spinners & Spinners Ltd produce the Shuka fabric and are the largest employer in Ruiru, Nairobi. They invest heavily in the training and development of their employees, supporting local infrastructure and schools within the wider community. Vivienne Westwood works in partnership with the United Nations and World Trade Organisation – for the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI). The EFI programme aims to reduce poverty by linking micro-producers with the international supply chain of fashion, providing long term employment and supporting the growth of local infrastructure.The bold cuff strap is the focal point of this timepiece, finished with a light tan strap featuring the iconic Vivienne Westwood squiggle print. The back of the strap features a highlighting bright red hue, reflecting the importance of red to the Maasai tribe - as a symbol of their culture and for protection from lions.
